Protect Your Pool Heater! Enjoy your pool all year round.

With a heated pool, you swim whenever you want, regardless of the weather or time of day. Which makes heating your pool one of the easiest ways to extend your swim season.

By keeping your water warm, you get more time in the pool, and the convenience of on-demand comfort.

But what happens when your pool heater stops working?

The water gets cold and all of that convenience quickly dissipates into the air. But it doesn’t have to be that way.

There’s one simple thing that you can start doing now to prevent that from happening:

Maintain your pool heater.

Doing so will extend the life of your pool heater, you will avoid major expenses for repairs or replacements. And maintaining the heater will keep energy costs down !

We recommend homeowners turn the heater on at least once a month for about 5-10 minutes.

This will help to get rid of and prevent cobwebs and animals burrowing in the heater which can cause issues with the internal components.

Make sure to keep area around heater free of debris.

Clear the area around the pool heater. Do not stack items around it. The airflow must remain open and ventilated to protect the internal coil components.

Keep your eye on the surrounding vegetation, trim trees above/around the heater, this can be a fire hazard.

If you haven’t turned your heater on in a while, go outside and turn it on. Checking on it now before it’s too late could save you a lot of frustration and money.
